2010 Royal City
This is a kick ass wine in an elegant, fancy black dress…
This will be the fifth vintage of this amazing wine and 2010 is destined to be every bit as magnificent as the previous releases. Very limited production, this wine will not last long!
(2009 vintage) 98pts Wine Enthusiast; 97pts Wine Spectator
(2008 vintage) 99pts Wine Advocate; 98pts Wine Enthusiast
THIS WINE WILL BE RELEASED & SHIPPED IN FALL 2013.
SOLD OUT
70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Syrah
This fantastic co-ferment leads with cabernet all the way. In an instant you recognize Stoneridge Vineyard in this wine. With its savory herb and pipe tobacco aromas, to the currants, lavender, and black olive, it comes together so harmonious and regal it can only be related to the Royal City.
SOLD OUT
Our inaugural release of “The Hidden” Syrah. This co-ferment of four syrah clones makes for one complex wine. It is gamey, bloody (think fresh meat) and has forest floor, anise and sassafras. If that is not enough, all of that is enclosed in a skin of wild blackberry. This wine is powerful and will age forever. Totally Killer.....
Once again classic Cougar Hills. This wine opens with black olive, dried orange peel, and pink peppercorns, then gives way to sea salt and iodine with a baseline of roasted earth. One Rockin’ Wine.
(2009 vintage) 93pts Wine Enthusiast; 90pts Wine Spectator
A beautiful single vineyard wine. Infinitely pure. Tangerine, Asian pear, and a lanolin texture give way to a nerve of minerality shivering down its spine.
SOLD OUT
Like a monarch’s robe, majestic, plush, rich and velvety. Cassis, black cherry, and a pinch of pipe tobacco. Long and full. The best Chateau Smith to date. I “&%$#$)%!” swear!
SOLD OUT
We’ve finally hit our stride. This wine kicks ass with tons of complexity, showing notes of white peach, Linden leaves and slate. Lovely focused acidity, finishing very long with mandarin orange and lots of minerality. Grab the chop sticks, crack a bottle....this will make you happy.
SOLD OUT
70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Syrah - Co-fermented, Old Stones Vineyard
Bow down. Single vineyard, low yield, complex, and very individual. Tapenade, herbaceous (dried herbs), menthol, pencil shavings and undergrowth. With an abundance of stucture and true sophistication. You’ll say hallelujah, he’s done it again.

93pts Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"Light gold in color, it offers up an alluring perfume of banana and other tropical fruits. Creamy-textured, beautifully proportioned, and substantial, Viognier does not get much better than this (and I include Condrieu in that statement)."
